Joline Karelse
Joline Karelse (1977) studied Industrial Design at Delft. In 2002 she finished her thesis project of a tricycle for disabled persons. Following in the theme of her thesis project she designed bicycles and bicycle accessories for Gazelle at Van der Veer Designers. Beyond these projects she also worked on such large pram/stroller projects as the Quinny Buzz and Maxi Cosi Mura for Dorel, as well as a completely new table line for Gispen called the Gispen Atlas. For Hermeta she designed the stylish garderobe systems and coat racks; among which the Dock and the Gear.
Patrick de Jongh
Patrick de Jongh (1987) graduated from Industrial Product Design at Rotterdam
in 2008. During his studies he was an intern at Van der Veer Designers in Geldermalsen working under the supervision of Joline Karelse. While there, he was able to apply himself completely to the design of the Dock garderobe for Hermeta. Simple and clean form; use; and production, were central to the design process which resulted in a clean lined and innovative garderobe.
